The Oud is a middle eastern stringed instrument, fretless with double sets of strings. It has a distinctive and beautiful melodic tone. In addition to traditional middle eastern music, I like to use it in jazz and gothic music. The Doublebass is the oldest, largest and most magnificent of the string family. In addition to Scott Lafaro and Bertram Turetzsky, my double bass playing is influenced by Gnanan Sintir music. Open chords on a twelve string guitar are a very beautiful sound. I like the playing of Ralph Towner and Jimmy Page very much.
The newest invention in my string family is this six string electric upright. An awesome sound for rock, it also emulates the sound of a acoustic strings perfectly and produces incredible sounds bowed through effects. It is an amazingly powerful and versatile instrument.
