I have recorded and am currently performing Basscapes. Basscapes are a dimension of expression where textured forms and music flow from a six-string fretless bass. There are trance-inducing chants, meditative drones, chordal cathedrals, and singing melodies. These are ambiant soundscapes, timeless and primordial. Live, this is a profound meditative experiance. I include improvised movement, music and spoken word as well as an occasional Hendrix, Bach, or Pachabel cover. With the use of a foot-operated sequencer and effects I create an otherworldly collage of sound similer to the CD, but I'm also able to respond to the audience immediatly in the moment...

"I'm happiest when my playing evokes a world of pure sound."

I'm also performing in Heaven. A world music ensemble with Tabla, Mbira, Classical Harp and Voice. I'm playing all of my acoustic instruments. Heaven can be heard on the Radiant World Records sampler and should be finishing a full length CD in summer '98. Once in awhile, I play acoustic duets with Brian Baker, a phenomenal classical guitarist with amazing two hand percussive techniques. This is a show filled with subtle nuances best experianced in an intimate setting (650-738-3608).

I'm also working with the Boris Goldmund Productions Jazz Quartet and the Bogo World Music Ensemble through Boris Goldmund Productions (415-541-7745) or liveharp@aol.com. From '93 to '97 I performed and recorded with THOTH. This was a beautiful and unique group whose tribal, gypsy sounds and street theater took us from Bart stations to clubs to concert halls to cafes to fairs. We recorded 3 CDs, shared the stage with Jai Uttal, Ali Khan, Haunted by Waters, Trillion Green, Seven Karma Fishes, Sunfur, Land of the Blind, Pele Juju, and received a Wammie award in '96.

In '92 I recorded an award winning demo with Saturnalia. This group featured 20th century harmonic ideas blended with rock and jazz. Manual Franco (winner of the 1985 guitar player magazine best unknown guitar player contest - 5th place) and myself were the featured soloists. We were compared favorably to Yes, King Crimson and late Miles Davis.
